How to Use Your Prompt Packs
Getting the most out of PrecisionPrompts
Step 1: Download Your Pack
Pick a pack on the homepage and click Download. The PDF is free and needs no account. Save it to a folder you use regularly, since you will want to come back to it.
Some browsers open PDFs in a tab instead of saving them. Use that tab's download or share button to keep a copy.
Step 2: Open the PDF
Open the PDF on any device — phone, tablet, or laptop. The prompts are organized by category so you can quickly find what you need.
Step 3: Pick a Prompt
Browse to the section that matches your current task. Each prompt includes:
- The prompt text (ready to copy)
- Fill-in-the-blank variables marked with [BRACKETS] for your specific details
- Tips for getting the best output
Step 4: Copy, Customize, Paste
Copy the prompt text. Replace the [BRACKETED VARIABLES] with your own details — your business name, industry, audience, etc. Then paste it into your AI tool of choice: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any other.
Step 5: Use the Output
The AI will generate output based on the prompt. You can use it as-is, tweak it, or run variations. The prompts are designed to produce output you can actually use — not generic filler.
If the output still comes back generic, the cause is almost always a missing constraint in the prompt rather than the AI itself. See why ChatGPT gives generic answers for the four parts a prompt needs. If it is impersonal rather than generic, how to get ChatGPT to write in your voice covers deriving a reusable style sheet from your own writing. For how much detail a prompt actually needs, how long should a ChatGPT prompt be measures all 455 prompts in these packs. And if you are wondering whether to put "act as an expert" in front of a prompt, does telling ChatGPT to act as an expert actually work measures how often our own prompts actually do that. For the rules that tell the model what to leave out, how to tell ChatGPT what not to do counts every prohibition in the library and shows where they sit. For the facts a prompt has to be given before any of this matters, what information should I give ChatGPT counts every input slot in the library, and if you are in the habit of adding "think step by step" to the end of a prompt, do I need to tell ChatGPT to think step by step checks whether our own prompts ever do. And if the answer keeps coming back in a different shape each time, how to get ChatGPT to follow the format you asked for measures how all 455 prompts here specify their output. If your instinct is to paste an example of what you want, should I give ChatGPT an example of what I want counts where every example in these packs is actually attached. If you tend to ask for ten ideas and get ten versions of one, how many options should I ask ChatGPT for shows what these prompts do instead. And if a rule you gave earlier in a chat stops being followed a few messages later, why ChatGPT forgets what you told it explains what is actually happening and when to start a new chat. And before any of that, if the same text could be aimed at several different readers, should I tell ChatGPT who the answer is for counts how our own prompts describe a reader, and should I ask ChatGPT one thing at a time covers how much to put in a single message.
Tips for Better Results
- Be specific with variables: The more detail you put into the [BRACKETS], the better the output. "SaaS company selling project management tools to remote teams" beats "my company."
- Use the latest AI models: GPT-4, Claude, and Gemini produce the best results with these prompts.
- Iterate: If the first output isn't perfect, ask the AI to revise specific parts. The prompt gives it a strong starting point.
- Combine prompts: Use outputs from one prompt as inputs for another. For example, use a research prompt first, then feed the results into a content creation prompt.
Troubleshooting
I can't open the PDF
The files are standard PDFs. Try opening with your browser, Adobe Reader, or any PDF viewer. On mobile, most default file apps handle PDFs.
The AI output doesn't seem right
Make sure you've replaced all [BRACKETED VARIABLES] with your actual details. Also check that you're copying the full prompt — partial prompts produce partial results. If using an older AI model, try upgrading to GPT-4 or Claude for better results.
I lost my PDF file
Download it again from the pack's page. It is free, so there is nothing to look up.
